IcosaHedron in France

index

This is early in the morning after the evening we made the icosahededron. It is quite fun to stand inside it and push it about on the lawn. It gives you the feeling what it must be like being a hamster in a ball. It is made out of 1.5m garden bamboo sticks, and elephant tape. In the mist behind me are the Pyrenees, but you cant see them.

Here is the same icosahedron dangling from a tree. It is connected up inside with nylon string. The idea was to show how you can fit a starry dodecahedron inside the icosahedron, but you cant really see it properly here. The dual construction - a dodecahedron with a starry icosahedron, as shown on the other pages, is much more obvious.

But anyway, it looked ok from a distance.
